Baby Touchdowns
Alright so this is going to be my last post on football for awhile. I've been quite obsessed haha. Flag football intramurals at UTD are over, but I'm thinking about scrimming once in awhile with local leagues for some good practice. Coming up in November is UTD Powderpuff football and the Adobo Bowl tournament. Totally getting my football fix in :) I need to practice practice practice; I want to be almost good as those girls in Lingerie Football. Seriously it's my goal.
OMG are they BEAST or what! And hott.

Dear Your Beastness,
Yesterday night officially ended the flag football season for me. My women's team lost in the playoffs, but overall it was a good game. I'm okay with us losing this one compared to the corec fluke because we actually did our best in the game. For never having a full-team practice with just the girls, we did pretty good, given that we were going against the top seed, the basketball girls. Our defense was tight; they surprisingly didn't mercy rule us. Maybe because we knew there was a high possibility of losing, we focused on trying new things and improving others, while having fun. We tried all these random and sometimes crazy plays; some actually worked! Hahah they were all named after food (Ihop, cookies, pho). I ran the football all the way from one endzone to the other; I passed like 4 defenders down the field. I think I'm getting pro at the ballerina spinning technique so that people can't grab your flags. Haha. Once I got to the endzone I acted cool about it, but secretly I was super stoked inside. Dude it was my first touchdown running the whole field length. I also busted my lip, trying to get an interception. It better not leave a scar!
Thank you guys on the sideline for the support; I love having people cheer you on. :) Good job girls; I am so proud. Shout out to Lan Nguyen, Tiffany Lu, Karen Shen, Olivia Dao, Evonne Yang, and Judy Lam! Such beastness!
Karen - girl you got some handsss
Judy - way to put pressure rushing
Olivia - good catch; I got ya ;)
Lan - awesome defense; grab those flags!
Evonne - pick ftw!
Tiffany - let's goo Miss QB :)
Missing Christina :(

Unclutch
Time for a quick post/rant before I pass out. It's 3:35 am, and I need to vent this shit out so I can sleep peacefully and wake up normal and happy.
Anyway so playoffs for flag football started today. I was so pumped and antsy the whole day waiting for our corec game. 10 pm comes, and we realized we have a pretty good shot at winning our first round of playoffs. No sweat. Game starts. We drop balls. We lose yards on the hike. All in all, our offensive totally choked tonight. We ended up losing 6-7.
Why???!!! We did so well regular season! The one game that matters most, we don't win. Talk about unclutch. My td streak of 1+ a game is also ruined tonight! WTF. Seriously to lose to a team who wasn't as competitive and as good as our team is a slap to the face. We usually score three touchdowns in game and to lose with one touchdown to end our season is another slap to the face. What were we doing??? Time went so fast! Why didn't someone on the sideline come inform us that we were out of it?
Usually I wouldn't be this upset over losing a game, but I had confidence in our team to pull through. This wasn't our best at all; it didn't portray our skills, discipline, coordination, and teamwork at all... What's worst was we lost to a team that apparently didn't believe in themselves enough to try to secure the lead with a second touchdown. Really now? Sorry teammates... I ran short of the extra point... we could have been tied but in all honesty we should have scored easily and much higher. One point wouldn't even be a factor. After their pitiful one point lead, they decide to run down the clock as much as possible. There's 15 seconds after line-set to hike the ball; they counted down to like 4 seconds to hike. They did this for the last quarter of the game. Lame!!! I also got penalized for bad sportsmanship...(Sorry team). I like how they didn't call a penalty for pass interference on the defense. I ran an out to the left and would have caught the ball if 1) this chick on the opposing didn't tip it, 2) this dude didn't bombard me. Actually take out 1 because I still would have caught the football; it was still in the air and all wobbly. BUT as I hustled to catch it, this dude out of nowhere just rams into me, pushing out of bounds. WTF. The ball spirals away, and the pass is incomplete. At this point I am collided by two people, especially this dude who obviously exhibits illegal contact. Dude you are supposed to go for the FOOTBALL. It [the ball] sadly isn't even close to fumbling into your hands. You either go for the ball or my flags, but no you ran into me. So I'm on the ground, super P.O. I exclaim "WHAT THE HELL" really loud and get a penalty. Stupid ass call. Also towards the end, the other team decides to run down the clock even more with closed plays. The QB just runs around as long as he can and doesn't throw to a girl. Smart move because you guys know that we would easily pick it and run it back. Touche scrubs. Next time try to play more based on skill and not luck and cheap tactics. I am done hating.
To lose like this is not worthy and not fair. I am pissed off beyond words. It is @#*!!!!! times infinity. I am too competitive for my own good...
Screw intramurals, time to play with the leagues.

Mr. Postman
I LOVE getting things in the mail. It's like getting and opening a present, even if I know what's inside. Most of the time it's something I bought, but the act of unwrapping it still makes me excited and happy. Haha
Lately my Microsoft internship has fulfilled my love for deliveries from Mr. Postman. I got a free laptop, sidewalk chalk, gym bags, Windows U gear, and soon free kicks from New Balance! :D
Totally legit.

Spaceship
Jump on a spaceship, take off
Jump on a spaceship, get on
Sitting on top of the world
Watching the stars
Go by
I got my head in a dream
Got my head in the clouds
I can fly, I can fly, I can fly
This song by Benny Benassi is super catchy; I love finding new music by non-mainstream artists. Anyway it describes my mood right now, "so get high, get high" (not with drugs, with happiness lol)
Today I went and dropped my finance major; I didn't realize how sure I was of the decision until after the fact. I felt happy and for once, I did something totally to be happy. It was no longer a debate between what I wanted vs. what I needed to do. I kept tagging along finance as a back-up plan even though I didn't enjoy it. I digg my own money but I could care less about dealing with others'. Plus I don't plan on failing so no need for a Plan B. I have 5 classes left to finish my B.S. in marketing compared to 11 classes to double-major. I'm only taking 2 classes now, so more time for art and more internships! It's a load off my shoulders; my senior year is going to be a breeze. Time to chill down and calm out lol. I'll worry about further plans later.
Like Bob Marley says, "Don't worry, be happy."
